WHO I AM
Curious, eager to learn and creative. Those are the words that suits me the most. When you take a look at this website you'll find those floating around through every aspect of my life choices.
In 2020 not only the world changed, but also my personal goals. After a hiatus of a few years my main goal was to finally get my
Bachelor degree in Musicology. Not because I had to. I did it because I wanted to show myself that I'm capable of doing that.
During this period I had build a website for a course. I noticed that I find a lot of joy in figuring
out how to build websites and making them. But also in setting up my computer, working with Adobe and play video games.

Because of this his and my curiosity and willingness to learn, I've decided that I want to work in the IT sector.
After receiving my degree I started learning to make better websites from scratch. And on Who Is Elaine you can see my growth.

This website will grow with the knowledge that I gain in the future.

        Wordsearch
This wordsearch was made to further develop my java script skills. This wordsearch will be my pet project. It will change with the growth of my scripting skills.

The base of the wordsearch is a tic tac toe. And the rest is grown out of this script.

Wouter Kaan
For practise I followed a tutorial to make this portfolio. Wouter Kaan is a product developer and his previous portfolio
was made ten years ago and didn't had an update since.

That's where I saw an oppertunity to learn, build and deliver a new website for him.

         PluralSight
I use PluralSight as my main learning point. In the past I used W3, EdX and my brother. I still use it,just likeI use YouTube, github and everything on the web.

            Wordpress
Last year I finally finished my study musicology. One of the courses I followed challenged us to be creative in presenting our work. This consist of the paper along with a journal about our research. We opted for a blog. And I chose to build a free and easy blog via Wordpress. While making the website and playing with the html code, I noticed that I got the most joy out of building the website. In the past I made and helped with a few Wordpress websites that aren’t online anymore. But the paper is still available online to see where my lifegoal switched.

          CodePen
Before I ever heard of PluralSight and Visual Studio Code I used to practise with Dreamweaver and with CodePen. On my CodePen you can see where I started. And on whoiselaine.com you can see where I am now.
